Landscapes in Lockdown

untitled-153-2.jpg

Fully intending to update my limited edition prints for sale page regularly, I promised to do so every month. Might have been a stretch under normal circumstances, but as we’ve been in lockdown for the entire year so far… You get the picture. Even if I don’t.

Actually that’s not strictly true, I have been taking pictures throughout lockdown, but being unable to travel to the great landscapes that I’d love to be immersed in, I’ve been taking them a little closer to home. In fact in my home. My kitchen to be precise.

I did so because to “keep my hand in” initially, but very soon began devising shots each time I walked the aisles of the supermarket. Food has colour, shape, texture and one advantage over a misty lake or a craggy mountain; you get to eat it afterwards. I even decided to share some of my shots here and created a new gallery entitled Cucina (Italian for my chosen location). I even added a couple of shots to my limited edition prints; though to be honest any of them would make a decent poster for a kitchen. Or maybe you’d like a collage of them? Drop me a line via the contact page if you’re interested.

Meanwhile take a look, and let your tummy rumble!
